The idea here was to look slightly behind their public appearance, showing the collaboration of the members from another angle, perhaps rare for the viewer, that is more natural and intimate yet a little playful, highlighting the connection. The Book Without Notes is created to explore color through light giving a visual content to a notebook that was lying on the shelve for a long time without a single note in it, initially purchased to record thoughts. I wanted it to be just full of color rather than words.
Ricardo Bofill took an abandoned cement factory in Barcelona and made it his home and work place for his family owned architecture business called Ricardo Bofill Taller de Arquitectura. I had a privilege to visit and capture the uniqueness of this place that strongly attracted me.
Personal project.
The Transformation project was shot during my recent travel back home to Armenia after a long time abroad. The intense and confusing feelings took over my expectations and hope to find a piece of mind when i finally ‘touch’ my land.
We pulled over the car somewhere on the roads of Ashtarak where i saw this beautiful, empty landscape. This colorful rock cut through, a deserted red landscape where every single stone seemed so familiar. The perfect place of isolation and thought.
The idea wasn’t clear to me yet, i didn’t know what exactly this is going to be until i took the camera in my hands. Pictures just revealed in front of me. The land spoke to me, the model was perfectly resonating with the energy in the air without much direction.
It took me some time to realize how this images translate the ongoing Process within me, the Process of inner battle, symbolic Death and Transformation that words can only support to describe.
